The art museum
and Longfellow’s childhood home–

I love Portland. Used to live on Congress Street and walk by Longfellow’s home every day on the way to work. A curious phenomenon there–on windy rainy days the street that runs perpendicular to Congress right across from that house would act as a wind tunnel, sending every umbrella blown out of people’s hands down that street and against the gate of Longfellow’s house. Later when I started a small press I called it Broken Umbrella Press after that odd phenomenon.

Enjoy Portland!
